Audley’s Action-Packed Spring UK Visit

blog

Based in LA, Audley likes to keep in tune with everything that’s happening in the UK by making regular trips home. In March and April he did just that and, thanks to his management team Champions Celebrity, he had an incredibly busy schedule.

His month long trip was characterised by the filming of a high profile television project for one of the UK’s major broadcasters but, as we are currently unable to provide the details, we will have to leave it there – suffice to say, you’ll be seeing a lot of Audley over the summer.

But that wasn’t the only TV work in which he was involved. On 29th March saw Audley take on a poker pro for fun on the Sky Poker Grudge Match live show, before filming more scenes for the mystery programme.

The BBC invited Audley to speak about his experiences growing up and his route to the top of the boxing tree for the A Black History of Britain and he was a special guest of Channel 5’s The Wright Stuff on Monday 18th April.

His insight was key to Sky Sports News coverage of the Anthony Joshua IBF World title fight, Johnny Nelson, David Haye and Shannon Briggs at the o2 Arena on Saturday 9th April, and he was the go-to expert for BBC Radio 5Live, Radio 2 and Radio 4 in the build-up to the bout.

Of course, Audley has also established a great reputation as a motivational speaker in recent years and was proud to speak to Year 11 students preparing to sit their GCSEs at the Walworth Academy in south east London on Monday 18th and deliver an address at the annual awards ceremony of his alma mater Brunel University on the evening of Friday 15th April.

Indeed his very first engagement after arriving in the UK took place at the National Sports Centre in Douglas on the 23rd March, where he took part in a Q&A session and presented a number of awards at the Isle of Man Sports Awards.

Now back in LA, Audley is still available to come across for media appearances and corporate events in Britain but is also keen to make more appearances Stateside as well. He returns to Britain in June or July to launch his new charity single Never Ever Give Up as part of an exciting new initiative with the Samaritans.
