AUDLEY'S QUOTE

“Albert Sosnowski represents a difficult challenge for me and I know he wants to keep his crown he won in December against Paolo Vidoz"

Audley Wins Prizefighter
Saturday, October 03, 2009
Audley Harrison won Prizefighter III by knocking out Coleman Barrett in the 2nd round of the final to win the Prizefighter III title at the ExCel Arena.

Harrison knocked out Scott Belshaw in the quarters, won convincingly against Danny Hughes in the semi-final putting him on the canvas during the fight, and then KO-ed Barrett in the final.

Barrett started the final well but Harrison began to land the heavier punches in the second round and a ferocious left thundered into Barrett's face putting him down, slumped on the canvas. He was counted out, with Barrett still reeling after the 10 count, meaning Harrison emerged victorious from the third installment of the Prizefighter Series.

As the night went on, the 5,000 strong crowd at the Excel began to warm to Harrison as he started to show the skills that everyone knows he possesses, especially in the semi-final against Hughes. Sunderland's Hughes won his first fight but found himself on the canvas after a savage left hand from Harrison.

The final saw Barrett start the stronger and he arguably took the first round, although he was exceptionally lucky not to be punished for a deliberate head butt. After the first round, Harrison showed real fight and hammered Barrett to the canvas to claim the title.
